The worst enemy of leather is excessive moisture. While we understand that some exposure to moisture is unavoidable, we recommend that our customers refrain from submerging their leather straps. This means taking them off while bathing or swimming. We also advise our customers to take care when applying sunscreen or cologne, as these can discolor the leather. Additionally, if you find that your strap is too dry, you can use a leather cream. We wouldn't recommend using anything with petroleum, because that would dry out the leather and make it crack. Finally, to ensure maximum longevity, we recommend that our customers allow their straps to dry out completely between uses.
